Design Inspiration
In Aotearoa, nature is never far away — from the coastline to the forests and mountain peaks. We have drawn inspiration from these landscapes, bringing the calming colours of our country into everyday living spaces.

Black — bold and sophisticated
A black or charcoal carpet makes a confident statement. It anchors a space, bringing instant drama and depth. To avoid feeling heavy, balance black carpet with warm neutrals, light timbers, or textured fabrics such as linen, boucle, or wool. Soft lighting, brushed brass, and organic forms prevent the space from feeling stark.
-
Style tip: Pair with white walls and black joinery for a modern monochrome look, or soften with cream textiles and greenery.
-
Pairs well with: Cream, sand, walnut, brass, and natural oak.

White — fresh and minimalist
White or off-white carpet creates a bright, airy atmosphere that makes spaces feel larger and lighter — ideal for coastal or Scandinavian-inspired interiors. It reflects natural light beautifully but does require a little more care.
-
Style tip: Layer textures to keep a white scheme from feeling clinical — think chunky wool throws, woven baskets, and linen curtains. Use subtle tonal variations (warm whites, soft greys, beige accents) for a serene, cohesive effect.
-
Pairs well with: Light timber, soft grey, muted greens, brushed nickel, and natural rattan.

Grey — modern and versatile
Grey carpets are an interior staple for a reason. They create a clean, contemporary base that works beautifully with almost any palette. Pair mid- to light-grey tones with crisp whites, soft blues, or warm timber finishes for a calm, balanced look. Charcoal or slate greys add depth and look stunning with brass accents, navy, or muted blush tones.

Brown — warm and grounding
Brown carpets bring warmth and natural comfort to a room. They complement earthy colour schemes — think clay, terracotta, and beige — as well as deep greens and creams. For modern interiors, balance brown carpet with lighter furniture or brushed metal accents to avoid the space feeling too heavy.

Forest Green — bold yet calming
Forest green adds character and a sense of connection to nature. It pairs effortlessly with warm neutrals like oatmeal, taupe, and off-white, or can be made dramatic with black, gold, or walnut finishes. In coastal or boho spaces, forest green also works beautifully with rattan, linen, and natural stone.
Beige — soft, versatile, and timeless
Beige carpets bring warmth and versatility, creating a perfect base for almost any colour scheme. They blend effortlessly with both cool and warm tones, and are especially suited to New Zealand homes where natural light shifts dramatically between seasons.
-
Style tip: Use beige carpet as a neutral backdrop to highlight furniture, art, or texture. It’s ideal in open-plan living spaces — grounding timber finishes, black detailing, and soft furnishings in clay, sage, or stone tones.
-
Pairs well with: Olive, terracotta, warm grey, black accents, and creamy whites.
